STR is very talented and sharp.we understand each other and are on the same wavelength.Iwas happy to work with him.He spent three hours for workout for 8 packs early morning and evening hours of shooting e having the sprit .he didnt waste the time quickly e finish the shoot.iam happy to work with STR.

'Osthi': Who plays what?

While we know that STR is playing a carefree cop Velan in his forthcoming film 'Osthi', here goes the list of other characters from this film that has set in much expectations among the young and masses at urban and rural centers.

Naasser plays STR's father, while Revathy his mother. 'Jithan' Ramesh is STR's brother in this movie and his love interest is Saranya Mohan. Needless to say, Richa Gangopadhyay, the Tollywood import, plays Simbu's lady love.

Wait, we have more to say. STR's close friend and producer VTV Ganesh has played Richa's father in this film directed by Dharani, while Santhanam, Mayilsamy and Vaiyapuri have played the colleagues of the hero in police station. And Thambi Ramaiah is playing a crucial character role.

Sonu Sood has done a powerful baddie and 'Osthi' will be an important film in his career, it is said. STR's special song with Mallika Sherawat, 'Kalasala...' has been picturised on a whopping budget and plans are on to release the movie by the end of this month.

Director dharani who delivered block buster hits like Dhil, Dhool,Gilli,is currently basking in the accolades for his latest flim Osthe,The flim's official trailor is out and has got a tremendous responce from the auidence with STR sizziling and stylish on screen with his new look,Sources say that Vikram and Vijay loved Osthe after watching the trailor,Apparently they have called Dharanito wish him (they've worked with him in earlier flims).
Dharani admits "vikram and Vijay"called the personality and told me that they were very impressed with the trailor.Vikram told me that it was vibrate and full of energy.They are dynamic satrs and iam over whelmed with their praise that the flim ."Dharani promises that the flim will rock and live up to the high expectations.

Osthi’s release

Reports that Osthi’s release is to be postponed to December appear to be false. There was news yesterday appearing in certain section of the media that the STR starrer Osthi will be released next month.

Enquiries, however, revealed the heavy rains are the major problem as the Osthi team has to shoot the climax portions outdoors. Following the rains, director Dharani and team have decided to put off the shooting and this is likely to delay the release.

However, the release date has now been confirmed to be on November 23rd, according music director Thaman and Jithan Ramesh who has done an important role in the film.

'Osthi' featuring STR, Richa Gangopadhyay, Sonu Sood, Santhanam and VTV Ganesh is the remake of Bollywood blockbuster 'Dabangg' and has music by Thaman. The audio was released by Ilayathalapathy Vijay and the songs have topped the charts. There's also an item number featuring Mallika which is one of the highlights. The trailer received much popularity in networking sites with fans going gaga over it.Although 'Osthi' was supposed to release on November 18, the climax scenes of the film that are being canned are delayed due to the rains due to which the film has seen a delay by one week. However, trade sources believe that both the movies will release in November and not push to December.
