Kalasala will be an evergreen hit, says Silambarasan
The Tamil version of the item song Munni Badnam Hui will begin with the lyrics Kalasala, revealed STR the lead star in Osthi. The film has Richa playing his lead pair and Dharani is directing this remake of Dabangg.
STR said that popular singer LR Easwari and his dad T Ranjendar will render this song under the music direction of Thaman. Adding further, the star said that he wanted a very different voice for this particular song and hence zeroed in on LR Easwari and T Rajendar.
The actor predicted that Kalasala will turn out to be a youth anthem when it releases and will be an evergreen hit like L R Eswari's all time hit Thulluvadho Ilamai.

Hottie arrives for STR
STR films always have at least one standout track and this is going to be it for Osthi. This particular track is already generating a lot of buzz even before it has been filmed and expectations are very high for it. Sonu Sood reprising his role from the original Dabaang will also be featured in this track.

Dharani Says....
Dharani's comment on style of Osthi “In my film, Simbu is not a corrupt cop but a rebel. He is a Robinhood, who robs from the bad guys. Heroes have been playing characters with such negative shades for a long time. MGR’s Malaikkallan is a classic example. This is a trend that comes and goes once in a few years.”

The Osthe team has finally found a catchphrase for the ‘Munni’ song
It looks like Simbu and Dharani have decided on the word ‘Kalasala’ to be the catchphrase of the much-expected item song in their forthcoming Osthe. The item number was a chartbuster in the Hindi original (Dabanngg) and its Tamil equivalent has been constantly under the spotlight.
Says a source close to the development, “Yes, the song will have the term Kalasala as its buzz word. The word is used as a call for merriment. Director Dharani and Simbu finalized it recently and the song will be recorded shortly.” It is believed that Shruti Haasan will croon the ‘Kalasala’ number, which will be recorded by composer Thaman next week.

I am confident: STR
The film which has STR and Jai in lead roles is nearing completion. "It is a gangster movie. But it is being made in a stylish manner. One would get to see a new Simbu in this film. I am thoroughly concentrating on every aspect of Vettai Mannan," he says.
Stating that it was his wish to try his hands at varied roles, Simbu says, "I played the role of an innocent Brahmin boy and a rough villager in Silambattam. Then for Vinnaithandi Varuvaya I became Karthik, a suave modern youngster. And in Vettai Mannan, I am a gangster."
On 'Osthi', his other film, STR says, "I was awestruck when I watched Dabangg. Immediately I decided that I should act in its Tamil remake. Thankfully things fell in place in a perfect way and Dharani is giving his best to the film. It will be a super commercial entertainer.

STR does it for Ajith in 'Osthi'
Well if your wondering what we are referring to, Simbu, a die-hard fan of Ajith has a tribute to his thala's 'Mankatha' in his forthcoming Diwali release 'Osthi'!
Ajith's well-received dialogue in 'Mankatha', 'Naanum Evalavu Naalthaan Nallavanavae Nadikirathu...' set a rage among the young and now Simbu will be using this one-liner in his 'Osthi' towards the end of the film.
'Mankatha' had a tribute to Simbu's 'Vaanam' dialogue, 'Enna Vazhka Da Idhu...', looks like the thala fan has something in store for his matinee idol now.

Shruthi Haasan is expected to sing munni a number from osthi
Shruthi hassan the daughter of Universal Hero Kamal Haasan is likely to sing the much expected osthi number Munni. "The song is yet to be recorded and shot" was the news from the director's desk. Str has done his best for the rest of the songs and lets wait for this number and we are sure that STR will give his full hardwork on this. The picturisation of Damaal Doomeel is already finished up and the dance master is very happy with the outcome.

Mallika Sherawat shake a leg in osthi
Who will play Munni in the Tamil version was the most talked about aspect of the film and various names where suggested and rumoured for this song. It made headlines in new media, tabloids and TV channels and people right from Nayanthara to Shriya Sen were rumoured to play Tamil cinema's Munni.
It is said that this B'town's sex-siren came with a fancy price tag that the team was willing to pay. It maybe mentioned we have earlier seen her in Mani Ratnam's 'Guru' for an item number. The shooting for this song will take place in Hyderabad and songs have been composed by Thaman. Title song in Str’s Osthi
Thaman has said that it is his dream to have a single released and is happy that it is going to happen for Simbu’s film.
'Osthi' single track and trailer, next week!
The film is gearing up for a Diwali release and is in its final production stage with just few scenes and a track remaining to be canned. The song to be unveiled is touted to be the introductory song of Simbu that goes 'Osthi Maaman...' This peppy number is crooned by B-town's renowned rapper and singer, Babha Seghal.
However, the team is yet to zero in on a lady for their item number that is much-awaited by all and a hunt is on for that hot lady who will get to shake a leg with Simbu and Sonu Sood.
'Osthi's songs are composed by Thaman and the release of the single track and trailer is said to take place either this weekend or early next week.
STR's Osthi for Diwali?
The final schedule has been happening in Mysore for quite some time and the team is working hard to finish it. Post production will begin in earnest after that. Poda Podi is also finished and will be hitting the screens soon.
