sonu weans STR off rice

IfStr (Simbu) comes from his Mysore schedule wearing a lean, meanlook,he should thank his colleague and Bollywood baddie Sonu Sood.
Itis said that both Str and Sonu, who are shooting for Osthi nearMysore, have gone on an all-wheat diet.Sonu is a fitness freak anddoesnt eat any rice.Says a source,Simbu was keen to knock off somequick weight and get a leaner look for the film.
Whilecomparing notes,he realized that his diet and that of the unit includedlarge amounts of rice. So,he asked Sonu for a tip and the baddie advisedthe cook that serves the unit, not to serve any rice,at least to Str.
Strand Sonu are also said to have a gruelling exercise regime because justlike in Dabangg,in Osthi too,the hero and the villain take off theirshirts at some point and show off their six-packs.

What is VTV Ganesh doing in 'Osthi'?

Post 'Vinnaithandi Varuvaaya' we all are aware about the friendship between Simbu and the now popularly known 'VTV' Ganesh. The chemistry between Simbu and Ganesh has worked well for this pair on and off screen too, because we saw Ganesh, who was one of the producers of the film also bag a role as Simbu's companion in 'Vaanam.'

Simbu is working full throttle in director Dharani's 'Osthi', the remake of Bollywood's 'Dabangg', a cop story, but with a difference. While some are wondering if Ganesh will be seen in a pivotal role in 'Osthi' too, here comes this piece of news to all those who are eager to know...

Reports are doing the rounds that Ganesh will be seen in a prominent role in this upcoming Simbu film.
He will be reprising the role done by Mahesh Manjerekar in 'Dabangg' as the drunken father of the heroine. Sources have also suggested that the film's comic track will be done by Simbu and Ganesh. They have proved their timing with comedy in their earlier films. In 'Osthi' too this duo sure needs to be watched out for!

'Osthi' will have Simbu as the cool cop with Richa playing his female lead. The first phase of the filming is going on in Mysore at a Brisk pace.

Silambarasan's Buddy in Osthi

Silambarasan and Producer Ganesh came together while filming VTV.
They continue to remain good buddies and VTV Ganesh did a hilarious cameo in Vaanam.
In fact, he has become a lucky mascot for STR.
VTV Ganesh will also be seen in STR's next with Dharani, Osthi.
He will play Richa's sozzled dad in the film. Mahesh Manjrekar did this part in Dabangg.
The interactions between STR and VTV Ganesh's character is expected to make a great comedy track.
Shooting for Osthi is currently happening in Mysore.
This is Dharani's comeback film of sorts in Tamil cinema.
He wants to make a big bang with this Dabangg remake.
His team is behind him 100 percent. Gopinath will handle the cinematography,
Thaman will do the score, and screenplay is by Dileep Shukla.
